Fitness Equipment
There are a great many items that can be placed into the category of “fitness equipment”. This is largely due to the many different types of existing exercise regimens and the industry’s need to keep up with all the trends. However, there are some basic items that are commonly found in nearly every gym in America.
The treadmill is probably one of the most commonly used pieces of fitness equipment in the modern gym. In many fitness centers there are often several rows of treadmills in order to keep up with the demand. These machines, along with other similar items such as the elliptical machines and stationary bikes, are an outstanding way to get a good cardio workout.
Free weights and weight training machines are also commonly used pieces of fitness equipment. Weight machines are often used to isolate a specific muscle group, and are quite effective. However, most experts recommend free weights because of their ability to engage multiple muscle groups at the same time.
